Imagine a vibrant downtown, the centre piece being the Leigh Square Arts Village, a place to socialize while sitting amongst artwork created by local artists, to purchase one of a kind, hand-made crafts or tickets to an upcoming performance. Imagine attending a folk music coffeehouse one night, a philosopher’s corner the next and an open air market on the weekend.

The City of Port Coquitlam’s Leigh Square Arts Village was created to encourage and facilitate community development through arts, culture and heritage, to enliven the downtown core and to establish a visible presence for community cultural activities within Port Coquitlam. The Friends of Leigh Square Society is a newly formed organization dedicated to supporting the development of the Arts Village.

The Friends work in cooperation with the City to advise on Village development and policies, and to provide volunteer, fundraising, promotional and program support for the Village.
